Tesa® double-sided tape is characterized by the following characteristics:
Open side: lower adhesion level
Easier removal while tearing the bond apart from the original surface even after exposure to demanding environmental conditions
Covered side: higher adhesion level
Foamed adhesive coating with high initial tack
Excellent performance on rough surfaces
The Tesa® 4914 Low VOC tape is composed of a non-woven fabric backing and a light weight modified acrylic adhesive on the open top. It's used by artisans in the clothing and leather goods sector as a valid alternative to classic putty . For example, to glue a zip between the lining and the leather, a coat of putty is normally applied but in this case, as a quick and malleable solution , high tenacity Tesa® double-sided adhesive tape can be used. Ideal especially during the pre-fixing phase during hemming .Application Fields
